Under Server, select Primary YouTube ingest server and then paste your Stream Key into the Stream key field: Under Service, select YouTube / YouTube Gaming. If you're using a Standard GPU machine ( Air, Standard, Advanced and Pro), you'll need to select the Software (x264) option which will use the CPU to encode the stream (slower).

The Encoder is dependent on the type of machine you are running. The default bitrate of 2,500 is sufficient for most scenarios but can be increased/decreased depending on your preferences.

Next, we'll hop over to the Output tab and select the Video Bitrate and Encoder. On the Video tab, choose the desired Base and Output resolutions: Click the settings icon on the lower right: We'll start by choosing the resolution of the stream. For more advanced customization in OBS, check out their guides or other online tutorials. There are only a few things that you need to configure in OBS to get a basic stream started. If you want to launch the Wizard at a later date, it will be available under the Tools dropdown: When OBS launches, you can ignore the Auto-Configuration Wizard since we'll be configuring OBS manually.

Why? By default, OBS launches in 32 bit mode which is not as fast as the 64 bit option. At the last step, uncheck 'Run OBS studio' Run the installer with the default settings.
